Are you generating a lot of ideas theese days, but not realizing any of them? Are you idealirious in another word? Then try to get off this way of working immediately. Ideas aren’t worth the iPad they are written on. As a creative you shouldn’t get caught up in your own self-righteous creative universe. Ideas aren't worth dickshit if they aren’t realized and most ideas aren’t. So first and foremost don’t think of yourself as a high performance ideator. Start thinking of yourself as a first class ideactionist. A creative person who hunts down ideas and gets them realized with high speed. That doesen’t take away the job of creating outstanding ideas. It just puts the ideating in to the right perspective. Secondly stop worshipping ideas and start chasing impact and value. That’s the real currency of your ideas. Actions that creates value to society, consumers, your brand and your company’s bottomline is what should turn you on as a business creative. Not ideas.
