Stefani Germanotta aka Lady Gaga is without the hottest pop artist of the moment. In my opinion her music is not that outstanding. But the staging of her products whether its video, concert or her on-line presence it takes everything one step further. She is an artist, brand creative, politician and ceo in one person. She is a prima case study in integrated branding. And an succesful one: 10 million albums sold, 1 billion plus web views. Designs and brand directs for clients like Polaroid, HP and MAC cosmetics. 3.8 million followers on twitter and 6.4 million fans on facebook. And every ceo and brand director out there listen up to this quote of her investment in setting up her own creative department called Haus of Gaga: "It's my creative team and it was really organic. I was a bit frustrated at the beginning, being so new to the business and going forward with a major label. I wanted to put my own money into the show because, when you're a new artist, you kind of have to prove yourself. I was making money as a songwriter and I did'nt want a condo or a car because I don't drive and I'm never fucking home, so I just wanted to put all my money into the performance."
